Shifting

Sorry guys, but I have decided to continue with this blog, and even after a hiatus of 16 days when u all thought even the 6th attempt down the drain, I come back, with loads of news..
Personal life, going Verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry nicely.
Professionally got f***ed again and have moved on... Basically will be shifting the venue of my living to Mumbai, place of my birth..(If I havent mentioned that before BEWARE! its my favorite place to rant about)
Not changing the line of work as such but still its a substantial change..
Also, some big news is that me and mrs. 3xt are approaching parenthood.. so we are super happy...
Yes, yes, those whom I had to call and I haven't called, apologies due to work problems, and the junky crappy people I was working with.
Still we are over the moon as you guys can expect.. I mean who wouldn't be?? Though our visibility in terms of happiness is very restricted and I am still the bull faced bastard that you generally know me as..
Minor few things from the last trip to Mumbai.. having a flyover near the airport has NOT changed things much Mr. Deshmukh, you need more than three such flyovers..
The renovation of Sea Rock opp Lands End will add to the glory of Lands End...
and the Indian Railways totally ROCKS! and last but not least, no city in India can provide better Paav Bhaaji than Mumbai.

More importantly, I have been chasing my demons again though I thought I had gotten over them, snarling and gnawing me with teeth salivating at the thought of tormenting me again.

I am back to technology learning which is what I do the best. Its something that never stops amazing me. Like Groove with Silverlight or SharePoint. Groove you have an ardent fan here, right from breaking up stuff into Delta's to joining them back again.. You do it just right.

Signing off towards a new beginning in life.

Indpendence Day Independence

Respected Sabhagana,
Happy Independence Day, India turns 61 today? Really? I thought it was as old as 5000 years old.. just that our pathetic attempt at self governance turns sixty one long years.. whew! the usual slurry of activity that accompanies 15th August celebrations are here.. desh bhakti songs, flags, chief guests, the whole nine yards..
My earliest memories of 15th Aug celebrations are from school where I was in the march past band, of which I was a part of. I shamefully remember bunking class at the name of practice and playing football. I also remember one particular incident which had happened in school years back.. Incidentally 14th Aug is Pakistan's independence day and it so happened that to give a full day holiday in school, the erstwhile Principal, unknowingly did the flag hoisting on 14th Aug, it was the Indian tricolor which flew but there were police complaints and the embarassment! After effect? next year even the parents were compulsized to come... LOL! I remember telling my parents that one.. In general we had great fun,
Dont get me wrong, not that I dont love my country.. but I would prefer something else.. maybe something like, all the societies getting together and using the money kept for celebrations, for children's education.. something sensible.. like the ministers taking a facility cut? [:D]
Another thing that I am scared of today is bad news from terrorists.. how is that they match correctly with all the parameters to keep themselves happy in their job.. strange creed isnt it?
Also this is my first attempt at mobile blogging so its basically independence from the keyboard as well hahahaha...

Dear Disparity

Have your heard about disparity? I can see staggering and scandalous behavior by the sportsmen today..
Throwing a medal!! Whoa!! Tell this to the Indians who have never won a tally of more than half a dozen medals each Olympic. So when one Indian out of a 100 Million wins a bronze silver or a rare gold, he dare not throw it on the ground; because hero-worshiping media will make him/her sit on the cloud 9 and wait for the next round of games to throw him down. Apparently you will see no such behavior from the athlete saying he doesn't deserve anything less than gold and throw it off..
Where is the sportsmanship? Was not participating more important? Is this the usual European arrogance?
Second post in the same day, coz I am off for a 3 day holiday for Rakshabandhan

My repetitive endeavors

Let me be frank, before I start writing, this is not my first attempt at blogging, most of them have phased out, too soon for my taste. The first attempt was as long as 6 years ago, just when the blog fad was setting in..
Something about myself and then a collective juggernaut of all my creative endeavors in one single place...
I am an India trotter... crossed my mid twenties.. and I am obsessed with my work.. that is enough an ode to me.. *serves as a warning if I start ranting about work*!
Big fan of Star Trek.. This is the captains log, location, office cabin, time 1125 hours, nearing happy weekends..
Signing off enterprise.
